In not knowing what is best for their country, Myanmar has refused the US aid offered. A top U.S. commander revealed that US warships stocked with aid related supplies will be leaving the area. “Should the Burmese rulers have a change of heart and request our full assistance for their suffering we are prepared to help,” Admiral Keating, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, said in a statement.

The Myanmar is so afraid of an invasion they are refusing to help people that are sick and close to death that resulted from the cyclone that ravished their country. It is said to see people in need that you know are starving and close to death and there is nothing you can do to help. Sometimes you wonder why we are fighting in places like Iraq and Afganistan where the real human violations seeem to be in Myanmar.

I do hope other countires, that possible are a little less threatening to Myanmar than the US can still get aid to the struggling cyclone survivers and the injured. Anyone that dies beyond this point is just senseless and I hope their government is held accountable.
