The forth installment of the Indiana Jones series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, opens Thursday May 22. Opening close to 10 years after the 3rd movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, this will be interesting to see how aging Indiana can keep up with the bad guys.

I am a huge Indiana Jones fan. I grew up watching Indy defeat Nazi’s, tribal evils as well as the average treasuer stealer. I am not sure exactly how to take this upcoming movie. I have already heard from various places that the movie is not nearly as good as the first 3. Even so, I am sure that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will draw a good crowd on Thursday due to the cult following it has gained over the years.

One disappointment for me was the fact that Sean Connery is not in the movie. I really think his dry humor made Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Instead, Indy (Harrison Ford) goes on his adventures with his sidekick Shia LaBeouf. This time he battles the Soviets, since I think he has kicked the Nazi’s but a few too many times.

Directed once again by Steven Spielberg, I am hoping that this film exceeds the current rumblings of it not being a very good movie. And lets face it, this will probably be the last one of the series, since Indy (Harrison Ford) is not getting any younger as he is 66 years old now.

I used to love watching the Indiana Jones movies but not sure I really want to watch it now so many years on. Think I’ll watch it when it eventually appears on TV.

I just recently rented the latest installment of Rambo. I Found ultra violent compared to the earlier ones. I wonder if these movies will be Stallone’s and Ford’s last “action” flicks or if there will be more.
